What is the project about?
Improving the quality of life of people living with dementia is a major goal of
research and practice. To do so, we need to be able to measure the factors that
are important to their quality of life. We assembled a team of people living
with dementia, care partners and researchers to create a new assessment of
quality of life among people experiencing changes in their thinking abilities.
Now, we are ready to test the tool and we need your help!
Who can participate?
● Persons living with dementia, mild cognitive impairment, or other
challenges with thinking or memory.
What would participation involve?
● Completing our new questionnaire that asks about factors related to your
quality of life
● Answer questions about the questionnaire’s relevance and ease of use
● Participation will take between 30 and 60 minutes and can take place at
the University of Waterloo, the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging
or virtually (by Zoom), as preferred by the participant
● An honoraria of $25 will be provided
